Along with watching the Inauguration of President Obama, we drew portraits of Martin Luther King Jr. on MLK day.  I taught them how to draw the shoulders, neck, and head.  It was great to see how differnet they all came out.  We even learned a song that went with the art project called "Sing About Martin".  Did your child sing it for you?
